Why Vote For Laurie Bisch?
I have been patrolling the streets of Clark County for the past sixteen years. I am the “OFFICER IN THE TRENCHES,” the one who comes when you call the Police. This experience has given me the necessary vantage point to have a true, unfiltered understanding of what the community needs are when it comes to Public Safety and Crime Prevention. I experience first hand the effects of our increasing crime rate, and it breaks my heart.
I know that we could be doing so much more to keep our citizens safe, but in order to accomplish this we need a leadership change at the top of Metro. I will put in place a leadership team that believes in “MOTIVATIONAL LEADERSHIP” as opposed to our current “AUTOCRATIC, TOP DOWN” style of leadership. Our Police department has close to 5,500 well-trained employees. These great men and women deserve a leadership team that will support, encourage, and motivate them. My philosophy is “You get out of people what you put into them.” To make our community the safest in America, we will need every person working for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to bring all their education, training, and experience to the table. What we need is an administration that will trust and support contributions made by its valued employees.
I believe the position of Sheriff is one of SERVICE. Once a person is elected to serve they must remain accessible to the community. I will maintain a schedule that will allow for this. Far too many elected officials close themselves off to those who put them in office. This will not happen with me as your Sheriff. If you would like to talk with me I can be reached on my cell phone at (702) 769-3232.
I am a true representative of the People I serve. I am a Mom, Police Officer, and a small business owner. With the current unemployment and crime rate on the rise, we need a Sheriff that can keep our streets, homes, and schools safe. I am that person, and I would greatly appreciate your support as we look for new LVMPD leadership for this great county we call home.
