Welcome to my 2010 campaign site!
As a native Nevadan and a distinguished member of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, I'm hoping to help improve public safety in Clark County by listening to YOU!
I am declaring myself a 2010 candidate for the office of Sheriff, because I continue to believe our leader must incorporate a motivational leadership style; which includes the following attributes to be successful:
- - Police knowledge
- - Business knowledge
- - Political knowledge
During my 16+ years with the Las Vegas Police Department I have been very active:
- - 2007 Jefferson Award for community service
- - 2005 Metro Community Policing Award
- - 2004 Local Hero Award presented by the Community Association Institute
- - 2001 Metro Unit Meritorious Award
- - 2000 Metro Community Policing Award
- - 1999 VFW Nevada Police Officer of the Year
- - 1998 LVMPD Victim Service Award
- - Created the Enduro Motor Cycle program for the department.
- - Created the program, "Operation Make A Difference".
The number of awards I have been honored with throughout my career are proof I have what it takes to lead our county's law enforcement professionals. For more information on my awards and commendations check out the Awards & Letters section.
